  功能导向的分子化合物/复合材料的设计、合成及其在有毒化学物质的侦检防消治、同位素分离、油品硫/氮化合物的吸附脱除等领域的基础和应用基础研究。承担了国家自然科学基金、国家其它部委的基金、北京市基金、北京化工大学人才引进启动基金和企业委托研究课题等30余项科研项目。在Angew Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, J. Phys. Chem. C, Inorg. Chem., FuelDalton Trans.J. Hazard. Mater., Inter. J. Hydrogen EnergyJ. Mater. Chem. B/C等国际主流学术期刊发表SCI论文140余篇,获得国家发明专利授权18项。
