Research Interests
Green synthesis and application of zeolites with hierarchical pores.
In order to solve the problems of low stability and weak acidity of mesoporous zeolite and large wastewater discharge in synthesis process, zeolite Y precursors were introduced into the walls of mesophase to improve the hydrothermal stability and acidity of final products. Continuous production of mesoporous zeolite was realized for the first time in the world, and the highly stable mesoporous zeolite MASTER-1 was developed. The catalyst “LPC-65” of Petrochina was developed by using the novel material as the functional component. Based on these, the catalysts were applied in the heavy oil catalytic cracking unit of 1.2 million ton per year. It is the first time in the world to realize the industrial continuous production of mesoporous zeolite and the application in million-ton catalytic cracking unit.
At present, the main raw materials used for zeolite synthesis (such as sodium silicate, aluminum sulfate, etc.) are all from natural silicon aluminum minerals, through a series of high energy consumption and high pollution process. This synthesis process is far from a green process. Based on the study of the stability mechanism and transformation behavior of natural silica-alumina minerals, the green synthesis technology of high performance molecular sieves using cheap natural minerals as raw materials was originally developed.
