Research Interests

Industrial scale preparation and application of two-dimensional layered materials, High efficient utilization of resources (industrial electroplating waste solution), Photocatalytic and electrocatalytic synthesis of high-value-added fine chemicals.

  • Using layered double hydroxide (LDHs), which can be easily scaled up industrially, as a model system, the types, localization and concentration of catalytic active site defect structures associated with the highly catalytically active crystalline facets of LDHs were clarified through the selective orientation of such facets.

  • By precisely controlling the multidimensional dimensions of LDHs, the design and regulation of catalytic active site defect structures have been realized. The separate nucleation and ageing method is proposed, and the engineering preparation of monolayer ultra-small LDHs nanosheets is realized for the first time.

  • Aiming at the important industrial thermocatalytic processes such as olefins and high-carbon hydrocarbons by Fischer-Tropsch reaction, as well as ammonia synthesis and fine chemicals synthesis, the method of constructing defect structure-rich metal/oxide catalytic systems by LDHs reduction was proposed, and the processes of light driven high-selective hydrogenation of CO to high-carbon hydrocarbons/olefins and photocatalytic ammonia synthesis were realized at atmospheric pressure and mild conditions. The relationship between the defect structure-catalytic performance of LDHs-based catalytic active sites was revealed, which provided a new way to prepare high-value-added products by green low-carbon CO and N2 reduction.
