Research Interests

Analytical Chemistry — Advanced Molecular Spectroscopy (including FTIR, Raman, Fluorescence, & UV Spectroscopy), Nanomaterials and its applications, Polymer nanocomposites.

  • Our group is engaged in developing the principles, technique updates and applications of various vibrational spectroscopy (e.g., FTIR, NIR and Raman), including FTIR mapping & imaging, Raman mapping, two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2DCOS), surface enhanced spectroscopy (SEIRAS and SERS).

  • Developing carbon quantum dots with high fluorescence intensity and high photo-thermal conversion, as well as their applications in analytical, biomedical and optelectronic fields.

  • Developing new and special characterization approaches of varied polymers and their nanocomposites, especially for studying their crystallization behavior.
