Research Interests
Inorganic Chemistry — Biomaterials; Intercalation Chemistry; Functional materials.
Our group has conducted an in-depth and systematic fundamental and applied basic research on the controllable preparation and performance regulation of layered double hydroxides (LDHs), constructed a series of new LDH-based biomedical materials and achieved the following innovative achievements:
1) A series of LDH-based photosensitizers with high singlet oxygen yield and near-infrared long wavelength (I–III region) excitation have been developed for photodynamic therapy, of which the excitation wavelength is adjustable in the range of 808-1567 nm, and the singlet oxygen yield up to 0.74-1.06, achieving efficient photodynamic cancer therapy. At the same time, a series of studies based on LDHs have also been carried out in the fields of chemodynamic therapy and sonodynamic therapy.
2) A series of high-performance Mg-based LDHs bioactive bone repair materials have been constructed for osteogenesis, which effectively address the negative effects of rapid degradation of metal magnesium or magnesium alloys, showing the advantages of high efficiency in bone repair. Moreover, application-oriented research and preclinical research of LDH-based anti-osteoarthritis injection have been carried out for efficient treatment of osteoarthritis.
