Research Interests

Cathode and anode materials for sodium-ion batteries; Electrocatalyst materials for water splitting

  • One current research area mainly focuses on advancing the practical applications of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). Our group is devoted in developing high-performance layered oxide cathode and carbonaceous anode materials, and employing advanced characterization techniques, and probing the structure-performance relationship and sodium storage mechanisms.

  • Another research area also focuses on low-content high-performance precious metal electrocatalysts for electrochemical energy conversion toward the hydrogen energy, such as oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions. Our group is committed to developing new methods for rationally design and prepare highly active and effective electrocatalysts, and revealing the controllable relationship of low-cost, high-performance precious metal electrocatalysts-structure-performance.
