In order to further develop a new platform for student employment and help graduates find efficient and high-quality employment, Secretary of the Party Committee Yin Ping, Vice Dean and Deputy Secretary Shu Xin, as well as heads of employment and undergraduate counselors of our college went to Fuzhou City, Fuqing City, Putian City and Quanzhou City in Fujian Province to carry out field activity of "visiting enterprises to expand jobsand promote employment"from April 21st to April 25th. Ten companies comprising Fujian Energy and Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd,Fujian Tianchen Yaolong New Materials Co., Ltd., Fujian Zhongjing Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Fujian Southeast Electrochemical Co., Ltd., Fujian Sijia Environmental Protection Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) Co., Ltd., Fujian Fukang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Fujian Yongrong Holding Group Co., Ltd., Fujian Xinrui New Material Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd were interviewed successively companied with further promotion in university-enterprise cooperation and exchange. Thevisit trip was greatly supported and enthusiastically assisted by the Organization Department of Fuqing Municipal Party Committee and the Management Committee of Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone, Fuzhou city, as well as the Fujian Alumni Association of Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
During the trip, delegation of the college of chemistry visited the enterprise industrial parks, R&D centers and product exhibition centers,and learned about the development history, industrial layout, R&D capabilities, innovation achievements, management concepts, etc of relevant enterprises.During symposium, the leaders of the college delivered detailed introduction on the characteristics of sponsoring college, discipline construction and talent development, as well as the source of graduates. Meanwhile, the communications and discussions betweencollege and companies were conducted on expansion of job markets, internship practice platform for students, and scientific research cooperation and innovation. The leaders of the college carefully listened to the opinions and suggestions from enterprises on the talent cultivation of undergraduate and graduate students, with a consensus on cooperation in talent training, student employment, and technology research and development achieved by “tripartite alliance” of government, university and enterprise.
This communication of "visiting enterprises to expand jobsand promote employment" aroused a better understanding of the development situation and talent needs of the counterpart enterprises to our college,creating favorable conditions for further improving the quality of talent cultivation and carrying out in-depth university-enterprise cooperation.In the next step, College of Chemistry will continue to explore avenues for university-enterprise cooperation, and strengthen the cooperation with enterprises in production and research, promoting construction and development of professions together. Simultaneously, more job resources,more excellent and accurate employment information, and much broader employment stage will be excavated and provided for graduates,effectively improving the employment quality and competitiveness in the workplace of students to jointly help them achieve their growth to professionals.
