On the afternoon of December 27, 2024, the School of Chemistry grandly held the 2025 New Year Gala at the Faculty Activity Center of the University Trade Union. More than 140 faculty members of the school attended the event to welcome the new year and look forward to the future together. At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Min Wei delivered a warm speech, detailing the remarkable achievements the school had made in the past year in talent cultivation, scientific research, teaching staff development, discipline construction, social services, and other aspects. She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all faculty members for their hard work.
Subsequently, newly appointed faculty members introduced themselves, whose joining has injected fresh blood into the school. Dean Min Wei presented flowers to representative retired teachers, expressing the school’s respect and blessings to them. In the award ceremony, teachers who won the first and second prizes in the Young Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition, as well as the “Top Ten Academic Tutors for Undergraduates,” were commended.
In the art performance session, more than 40 teachers from various departments and institutes carefully prepared wonderful programs, including songs such as When, Sing of the Motherland, I Only Want to Be with You All My Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, The Story of Time, It's You, as well as a poem recitation Welcoming the New Year with the Rhythm of Chemistry, a piano solo A Wedding in a Dream, and a dance A Loving Family. These programs fully demonstrated the united, cooperative, and positive spirit of the teaching staff in the School of Chemistry.
The New Year Gala was not only a grand event to summarize the past and look forward to the future, but also a demonstration of the unity, collaboration, and shared progress among the faculty and staff of the School of Chemistry.
