On March 8, 2025, the annual progress review meeting for the 2024 implementation of the National Key R&D Program Project (SME Technology Project) "Advanced Technology and Equipment for Efficient Recycling of Waste Alumina Pellet Catalysts in C2 Hydrogenation" (Project No. 2023YFC3903700), led by Prof. Yongjun Feng from the College of Chemistry, was held at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The meeting was chaired by project-tracking expert Prof. Yimin Zhang from Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
The project expert panel comprised 2 project-tracking experts, 5 technical advisory experts, and 1 financial expert, including Prof. Yimin Zhang (Wuhan University of Science and Technology), Prof. Baozhong Ma (University of Science and Technology Beijing), Prof. Yulong Wu (Tsinghua University), Prof. Zuohua Liu (Chongqing University)
Prof. Yufeng Wu (Beijing University of Technology), Senior Engineer Jiangong Shi (Sinopec Catalyst Co., Ltd.). Researcher Can Quan (National Institute of Metrology, China) and Senior Accountant Fengbo Wang (Beijing Jinrui Yongda Accounting Firm). Attending by invitation were Prof. Xindong Guo (Dean of the Academy of Science and Technology Development) and Prof. Min Wei (Dean of the College of Chemistry), who delivered addresses representing the university and college respectively. Also present were Mr. Yousheng Chen (Executive Deputy General Manager of lead organization Jiangxi Wukuang Gao'an Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd.) and all project team members.
Yongjun Feng focused on the research background, research objectives, annual progress in 2024 and the next work plan of the project. In view of the progress of the project and the research objectives of the project, the expert group unanimously affirmed the progress and phased results of the project, emphasized the significance of the project to promote the recycling process of waste alumina in China, and put forward a series of suggestions from the aspects of process route, whole process evaluation, economic cost and so on. In the end, Yousheng Chen, on behalf of the project lead unit, thanked the experts for their opinions, expressed that we should further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, accelerate the research process, so as to complete the tasks of the project with high quality, and actively promote the transformation and application of project results.
